Celtic are to be fined by UEFA for this Green Brigade banner at the AC Milan game. It reads:
"The terrorist or the dreamer, the savage or the brave, depends whose vote you’re trying to catch or whose face you’re trying to save"
Is this such a terrible sentiment?
It’s quite clear that the problem is the image of Bobby Sands that accompanies it. I wonder if UEFA would explain just what the dire consequences of commemorating long dead hunger strikers actually are for the game? Who is harmed? It’s a fucking thought crime, enforced by a footballing regulatory body? Does this seem bizarre to the rest of the world or is it just me?
